The Majesty of Flight

The roaring of the engines
As the power is turned up high
The beauteous beast is ready
Again to rise and fly
So cumbersome she turns
As the ground still holds her fast
But soon she'll soar above us
This moment will not last
And as the wheels retract
With the grace of all she holds
The wings begin to strengthen
As all her flow unfolds
She sweeps across the sky
A free and glorious sight
For now that graceful beauty
Is converted into flight
